The Challenge
As part of the YouTube Month in Review campaign, I was tasked with transforming static editorial illustrations into high-engagement motion headers. The primary hurdle wasn't just aesthetic; it was a high-stakes technical pivot. Mid-campaign, our data limits were slashed from 20MB to 500KB per asset to ensure accessibility for global users with limited bandwidth.

The Impact
By treating motion as a technical specification rather than just an overlay, we achieved:
Engagement Surge: A measurable increase in clickthrough rates and user interaction after the introduction of motion.
Global Scalability: 100% deliverability across global regions previously excluded by high data requirements.
Trust Through Continuity: By defining specific motion curves for different "personalities" (Zen vs. Chaos), we created a cohesive brand voice that felt intentional and reliable across the entire campaign.
